got n93 on the nov 14 was working fine use only for movie recording since going oversea i am using to take some pic. have nver used for making any phone call since i dont have any sim chip.today when i pluged in pc the phone went dead. took out the battary repluged in battary was charged still wont turn on. any idea b4 sending to nokia.
 
on nokia website it said to take battary out and put it back to reset it i did that. when ever i push the power button it say on pc unknown device found but no power or any kind of light on n93.
 
it maybe a long shot but worth a try wont hurt a dead phone anyway (no pun) open the memory card and leave it like that and try turning it on, it will force the phone to give you a warning that the slot is open, happened on my n70 before when I cant turn it on and it went back to life.....try it out let us know...hate to see this happen to fellow n93 user..
 
I want to help you so I might not quit...i have the same phone so I would like to help you out, these are basics but atleast you can try :

1. try a different battery even if it cost you (n93 is more expensive the battery)
2. try your original battery on a different phone that uses the same battery to make sure that battery is not DOA atleast or faulty.
3. try charging on a different outlet.
4. if you are using a NA adapter try different one it might not making good contact, hence wont charge.
5. if you are using it on a windows xp turn off your pc, plug your phone turn your PC on so they will start at the same time as windows, some hardwares requires this even on XP.
6. try a different charger even the old one just use the adapter plug or use a car charger if you have one.
7. if all else fails check with iunlock.
8. keep us posted alot of people want to help you here even those who doesnt have the same phone you have..
 
Are you sure you weren't trying to charge it over the pop port? the pop port won't recharge the thing, you gotta use the AC adaptor.
