Dead N73

Hi,
I tried upgrading my N73 but ended up downloading a bad file, turned out to be 2.0628.0.0.1, and my phone was in 2.0628.0.0.3. Needless to say, the phone is dead. I tried dead phone flashing with the NO CONNECTON method, and it did not work. It returns a "failed to send config command to bootcode" error.
Can I fix this?

I tried the NSU first. There is no update for the N73. And I only had Chinese support on my phone.
If you have nothing constructive to say, then don't.

try dead phone flashing.... remove the usb connection and select no connection and then open product search for rm-133 and then go flash fm .... this time select the right file.. and hope it will revive your phone...

this is a 50/50 chance that it will revive ur phone..

or just take it to the nearest nokia service center that always helps..

cheers

Which Nokia Service Center?

Tell you what.. No Nokia Store or service center will help this person other than the one where is Phone is zoned.

I have asked the Nokia reps myself regarding my Nokia phones that are not zoned here in the US even do they have em available here..

I was told they wouldn't even touch my phone.. The only thing they can do is suggest me to ship the phone where its originally zoned which is UK.

So from now on! I will buy my Nokia phones here in the US. So that I get the support from them here..

As for the person who messed up his N73..

Sorry to hear that.. The only thing I can tell you is never trust any MODDING software outside Nokia.

You took the risk, you suffer the consequences..

Better yet, send it to iUnlock and get it flashed there. They revive dead phones and they are professionals at what they do. You will have to pay but it is worth it. Its not like you need a NSC unless you really want it free. But it is true they will not touch a phone that is registered as made for sale in the US and the IMEI is not registered with Nokia USA as a phone marketed and bought in the US.

So your only option? iUnlock. They'll help you gladly.

Thanks for the suggestions.
I already tried the Phoenix NO CONNECTION thing as I said in the first post, and it returned the error "Failed to send config command to bootcode" after I hit the power button.
As for iUnlock.com, its the only realistic option, but I am not fond of shipping my phone...
More input is greatly appreciated

geeezz.. People here are so sensitive..

I'm not mad.. Even the phone is out here in the US.. If they scanned your IMEI and its not registered here in the US. They will still not touch it.

I asked them if they can take a look at my N80 which is also out in the US. When they ask me where did I get it.. I told em a seller in ebay.. They asked for my IMEI and scanned it. Found out my phone is zoned in Germany. So if I ever wanted to get my N80 checked.. They told me to send it to Germany even do they have the phone here.

Ridiculous but make sense..

I've used iUnlock for several flashings, and would highly suggest them. They're based in Boston, so if you're nearby and weary of shipping the thing, just stop by.

However, don't worry about shipping your phone to them. If you ship it out on Monday, odds are you'll have it back in your hands by Friday. I always got quick service from them and would use them again in a heartbeat.
