ok so i got my 6700....only had it for 1 day!! then i read that it was a better idea to update the phone software before flashing it.... so i did and it killed my phone...now it will never turn on ... it says serial on top and when plug it in it says usb... i dont kno what to do anymore... i tried installing different updates and reseting it but nothing... i think im gonna have to return it.. any help?? i dont want to return it!! it takes too much time! :[
...i know it was windows vista that killed my phone! grrr i tried it with xp but it still didn't work..
 
Ok, so luncky you i just went through the same thing, and almost smashed the phone because i couldnt figure out what to do. Here is the easiest solution: take the battery out of the phone and leave it out for a hour or two. Then plug the phone in via USB and insert the battery. Hit the power switch to see if you boot to your ROM. There are also 2 programs you can use to get it out of boot mode, but the battery thing worked for me. BTW im running the Clean and simple AKU 3.5 for any Apache Hope this works, if not ill give you the other way for getting out of bootscreen hell. lol
 
ALSO DONT UPDATE YOUR PHONE USING VISTA!!! Update the ROM with a XP computer if you can and plug the USB cable directly into the computer (dont use a hub). There maybe drivers out there for vista, but what I know, you cant update ROM using vista without screwing it up. Hope I helped. Also where are you located at?
 
Personal Story....

When I first got my 6700 phone 2 weeks ago, I updated it using Vista an got stuck in the boot loader screen just like the first mail on this thread! I used the unjammer with an XP computer and it worked. But for 30 minutes, I was sure I had busted my phone.

If you are stuck in the boot loader (Serial/USB), don't panic... phone still works. Follow tips above.

Yeah it should work with the tips above, i was sure i broke my phone too, i was so mad and rude to everyone around me because i thought i broke it. But it wasnt i just too the battery out left it on my desk and went to the GF's. When I came back I dropped the battery in and voila it worked! :D
 
Its not something you install its just a simple DOS.exe file. You need to click into actvie sync and uncheck allow usb connections and then run the file.
 
omg i got my phone working!!! thank you sooo soo much i swear i was going to retyrn it tomorrow haha whoo!! lol now i need help programming it!! now it says sprint and i cant accest the programming menu any help?? the ##778 talk doesnt wotk...??
