Undo the two bolts on each side's connection clamp. Undo the one bolt on each side holding the stock muffler to the battery box. Undo the hose clamp bolt up underneath on the cross-over pipe.

You might be able to wiggle them enough to drop them from there. If not, you've likely GOT to drop the header pipes.

I de baffled my 900 Custom, I think it sounds great.....finally sounds like a v-twin. It was very easy to do. We did my bike another 900 custom and a C90 in around 2 hours for all three. The C90 does sound a little tinny but not bad. The Customs sound AWESOME. I did not marble mine or the other as they are not having any backfire issues. Very happy I did it, however if I would not have liked it there is no going back without spending some $$$$ on new pipes.

ive debaffled mine an 08 m50 6months ago rode all winter no problems yet can tell it has a little more on take off. but over all u will love the difference in sound sounds great!

I drilled 8 x 1/4 inch holes in each end plate. Liked the sound, but not the reduced low to mid range torque.

So I made up 2 donut-shaped discs and attached them over the drilled plates using 2 x 6mm bolts into nutserts on each muffler.

That way I can go back to drilled mufflers if/when I fit a TFI in the future.
