So i was installing my DDA that came with my 1198s and a error came up regarding having to run a 64 bit version on this computer and contact the personal who gave me this package.

Any one heard of this?

Either way, my computer recognizes that there is a USB(DDA) but doesnt match it to the program..frustrating.

ANY IDEAS?

Thanks in advance.

I was kinda upset by the DDA..

The software is really propriety to the guy that wrote is and doesn't allow any export of the data plus it doesn't work with 64bit. I had to take it to work to play with it as my pc, lappy and MCE puter are all 64bit.

I have more using the free logging apps with my android phone than this.. Hopefully they'll step up in the future and use something more like the standard data loggers available.

I used one with AMG for for an ice driving event and they game me all the data and I could download the analysis app for free and view it all synced with the video..

Here was an output. http://www.vimeo.com/9665429

OK..... I had a similar issue where my windows wasn't letting the DDA communicate with the program when I plugged it in. I run windows 7, 64bit and here's the issue....

with 64bit OS's.... they don't like it when devices don't have "signed" driver. That being said.... it won't run on your cpu.... unless you "hack" the drivers and sign them yourself.

I did a bit of google searching (took me about 3 days to find the right shiz) and finally found some help. There's a program you can download that basically puts your computer into "test mode" which is what you would use if you wanted to mess with files and change stuff. This program then also has an option for you to sign device drivers. You just click that, type in the file name you want signed, hit apply, restart your cpu (again in test mode) and then badda bing!!! you plug in your USB and up pops the DDA program and you can view your runs.

here's a link to the program:

If you google "disable driver signing" or something like that, you'll get the process to turn the system check off however it didn't work for me. they are cmd line codes that you copy/paste into your cmd prompt. whenever I did it, it said it was good to go but again would not let my DDA be recognized when I plugged it in.

The DESO program works. Hope this helps!!!

yeah...... the F8 trick for my cpu wants me to select a hard drive...... so that one doesn't work for me

Don't know why btw......

Your just doing it a bit early. If you press it during the bios post the bios lets you chose a boot device.

you have to wait a little longer. not sure of the exact prompt.

One way to do it would be press it early choose the boot device and then immediately press F8 again.

Its part of the windows boot options. bit sill they started using th same key for bios boot device selection I know.

those bastards......

it works with the DESO program just fine for me so I'm not too worried about it for now. I always forget to turn the damn thing on anyhow....

last track day we had here I remembered it during our last session out...... course I turned on the DTC since I was in a hurry and not paying attention when I was rushed to pull out.

I would look into installing a second OS, you should be able to run a 64 bit OS and a 32 bit OS on the same machine. Do some research on 'Dual Boot' installation.

You can also pick up a cheap netbook on Ebay and dedicate it to your Ducati. The Dell mini(x)'s are pretty nice.
