DC to AC adapters for cars?

My 1999 Nissan Sentra is having some problems with the cd player and whatnot, so I had this genius idea:
Get a DC to AC adapter as seen here:

And plug my Creative SBS 2.1 330 Computer Speakers into it
(speakers seen here: http://shopping.yahoo.com/p:Creative%20SBS%202.1%20330%20Computer%20Speaker:1991616496 )
My questions are
1) Will it work?
2) Will it drain the cars battery?

The Creative SBS 2.1 330 Computer Speakers are only "Max(RMS) Output Power - 18W"
