Daytona???

From what I understand, Ducati day is on March 6th. I will be there. A few of us Ducati riders from Florida have been talking about meeting up at the track that day. Maybe we could get a time and landmark to meet up??
 
Here is the idea. We are going to have a mobile dyno guy out at Destination Daytona one day during bike week. we will have several classes, 4 valve, 2 valve and cc's. The contest is going consist of 3 parts

Horsepower
Sound
Looks.

Due to the fact that we'll have to pay somone to run the Dyno, there will be an entry fee. Not sure how much yet.

All entries will be judged according to how clean and original the bike looks in their particular class

HP and sound will be judged during the Dyno. If you have ever been to Ducati day by the track, you know the sound contest they hold. I always thought it was super ghey. In my opinion, a Ducati does not sound like a Ducati unless it's under load, the only way to achieve that is either ride it, or put it on a Dyno.

So while the bikes are being judged for looks they will be put on the Dyno for HP and sound. There will be top 3 finishes in all classes. and one overall.

The HP will be judged by the, well the computer.

The sound will be judged by your peers.

The looks will be judged by professional motorcycle show judges.

I'm really wanting to go to DBW... I'm from Mississippi. Really don't think I will ride that far and I don't know if I could get together with anyone else to travel with to Daytona. My father use to work with a lot of guy who would haul their HD's down there each year. Either way I might just go in my truck... anyhow I'd like to meet any forum members that go if possible.
 
If anybody can make you should go there, we go every year and with temps most of the time in the mid 70's you may enjoy it even more.

We be stopping by at the above listed event from the club for sure and hope to bring a few bikes to enter.

Moto ST is running Fri. at 4pm with an 3hour race at the Speedway ( lot's of Duc's running there) and at 8pm is the Daytona 200. Plenty of racing for almost 10 days going on there.
 
Well maybe, never been so don't know exactly how the setup will be. If it is just a whole lot of slow cruisin' with large crowds... even though I'll have my 14T sprocket by then I can't imagine it would be much fun riding around unless I took a tour outside of town on day. Plus if I hall it down in my truck I'd image I would have a bunch of trouble unloading once I got there. Aren't there areas just to camp out???... where do ya'll stay??? If I had enclosed trailer I wouldn't mine sleeping in it lol... I wouldn't really care if I had to rough it. Are you a vendor during bikeweek... or just display some show bikes???
