Days of our Lives/Young and Restless on CBS Drama - NOT!

People like you stopped watching so they pulled the plug at the end of August.

Sad but completely expected once they got shunted to a post-midnight slot.

No US daytime soap apart from Sunset Beach has truly taken off here. With Diva recently taking The Bold and The Beautiful off air, which was its highest rated show, I don't think we will be seeing them back on UK TV for a while...

That's a shame, stopped watching on a reguar basis 'cause they moved to past midnight. I thought at one point they were the highest rated on the channel. Interesting they're still showing Guiding Lihgt when it's no longer shown in the states. Never mind.... Thanks for th info.
 
Another reason is also because the plug has been pulled on them in the USA as well!! A lot of the soaps over there have come to an end!! I think there is only one or two left now airing in the USA!!!
 
^ That is false. There are still several daytime US soaps in production, including Days and Y&R.

I'm guessing CBS Drama will soon stop showing Guiding Light as well.
 
There are 6 daytime soaps still on air stateside and the number 1 Rated show "Young and the Restless"(NUMBER 1 FOR LAST 22 YEARS fact!) Still averages around 5 million per episode so it'll run for years on CBS Yet it seems.

The other 5,"Bold & Beautiful,General Hospital,Days,All My Children & One Life to Live" are all in a heap ratings wise with "Bold" 2nd,usually just above the 3million mark and the other 4 averaging ratings in the 2.2 mil to 2.6 million bracket.
