Daylight Savings Time Patch fails to install

I received e-mail from T-Mobile inviting me to download and install this patch. Prompted to "Reset now to complete installation" I clicked agreeing. From that point on the BB went into "infinite tilting hourglass" mode and remained stuck there. Battery pulls did not help.

Luckily, I was able to use the Desktop Manager to remove the patch -- then the BB booted normally.

Needless to say, I will NOT attempt to install the patch ever again!
 
Thanks! I hope it works for some of said old OS versions .

I know I for one don't have it included; my BB was on Canadian time for a spell , here in California. And probably will be again
