Daybreak - What to do next?

What on earth do ITV need to do to change the fortunes of this week start to the morning ??

Is it the presenters, the programme itself or both ?

I think it's both, Christine & Adrian don't look comfortable doing early mornings to be fair plus.......the programme just doesn't hang well at all, bad camera work, average set, poor timings and not serious enough if that's what they wanted to achieve to compete withh BBC Breakfast.

Surely they have to be either a) serious and complete with BBC or b) go for a very fun style programme more like Big Breakfast acheived for Channel 4 when it first started.
 
Local news coverage is virtually non-existent & they might as well not bother at all.

Christine & Adrian were hyped up so much before the show changed to Daybreak. It just looks uncomfortable now.
 
agree with first poster. Do the Big breakfast fun thing. Nothing like that on tv. KiRAB must watch it in the morning getting ready for school so something that appeals to them would be a winner I think. And chuck some decent programmes on it so your not just watching people repeat nonsense
 
Daybreak's problem is that they've tried to build a show
around the presenters and not the other way round. Millons count for nothing if you haven't tried to work out what your public (and advertisers) really want.

Right now they face extinction. Unless, that is, they go back to what they never knew they had.

Bring back Penny Smith and Matt Lorenzo: fun, brains and people the viewers can relate to. Personally I think their eight second clip in "The Queen" is the reason the film won an Oscar.

The twits upstairs should cut their losses and spend a fraction of what they've spent to bring back a touch of class - by Royal approval!!!
 
Anybody who notices or looks for such things is presumably sexually frustrated or has some kind of fetish. I assume ITV are not seeking to target that market specifically.
However, any viewer is a good viewer, I suppose.
 
In the morning i like to see a drop dead gorgeous woman that i'd want to bang over breakfast but what do we get?, Bleakley a Carla Rommano looylikey who is not attractive or talented and with the amount of gravy browning she has trowels on just looks dirty,she also gives of the impression she has just come from the local knocking shop.

As for Chiles yukkk and drop it down a deep dark hole with Bleakley.
