Daybreak, First Day in, Improvement?

Yes, it is Alison Sharman who's responsible for Daybreak's content. The show is not made by a production company as in the normal way (not even ITV Productions, which is strange, as they have experience of producing This Morning, Kyle, Loose Women etc). Instead, it's being made by the broadcaster itself, with Sharman as the de facto executive producer.

It will be interesting to see if she takes the fall. Peter Fincham is the man who hired Chiles and Bleakley, and you can bet your life that he won't be blaming them for this disaster - at least not in public, as he has so much money and personal credibility invested in them. But he may have less qualms about hanging Sharman out to dry.

I've been a BBC Breakfast viewer for years but thought I'd see what the fuss was about.

I really can't be doing with AC and CB first thing in the morning, too "in your face"...and (as loaRAB of people have pointed out) .... if she sat any closer, she'd be in him.

I never liked The One Show to be honest.

At the risk of being blasted for this next statement...I really can't stand her accent either, it's like listening to a nail scratching glass, sorry.

I also think there's been far too much hype about this pair.

To paraphrase Nikki from Big Brother "Who are theyyyyyyyyyyyy"

It's not as if either of them did anything groundbreaking enough prior to this to warrant the salary and the build-up.

I'd much rather watch Lorraine. I used to love the show when she was the anchor with Eammon. (Showing my age here lol)

I only stuck with it for two mornings, been watching BBC breakfast since.
I just don't like Daybreak at all. The presenters and not morning people for a start, I don't like the new set, it's not a relaxing place and as for the format of the show, there is'nt any.
Come back Emma, Andrew, Ben and the rest, all is forgiven.

is anyone even watching this anymore? Do they still do highlights at the end of every show even though nothing has happened?
Christine and Adrain must be tired by now..dont they get time off?
I think I will only watch if some celeb I like is on it..and even then the interview wont be up to much sadly

Well i like her , she is much better than Bleakley and she has a fabulous pair of legs , which were well on display this morning.
I don't think Bleakley will last the course tbh , i reckon Grainne will end up being the main presenter.

They're losing viewers faster than Richard and Judy's failed digital show, which was practically down to single figures by the end of its run!!

I noticed that. Still don't know if it is done on purpose (to show the cast & crew working away) or just a cockup that they now have to live with.

Here are a couple of my comments about the tiny bits i've seen of the show

Adrian said he didn't want anyone else to present Friday's edition of The One Show because it was a successful format and if it isn't broke then don't fix it. Adrian must know that Daybreak is sinking faster than the Titanic so he really has no grounRAB to put the same argument to ITV. He wasn't in a golden handcuRAB deal with the BBC so even if he was shoved he could get work elsewhere. If he kicks up a fuss, ITV could easily sideline him and pay his contract off, but he'd be unable to get work in the meantime and in 4 years noone would be interested.
