Daybreak, First Day in, Improvement?

I dont think many people think like you. If you read the internet all day long you might think so but really such extreme negative and bitter opinions are not the norm. Most people dont particularly care. They have more pressing issues to think about such as getting the kiRAB out to school, worrying about their family or the jobs, etc.

Most people I know would say fair play to either of them for getting the best deal the can for themselves. There is no certainty in their business. The BBC could as easily shaft them as ITV.

What amazes me and not just about this programme, is why anyone would want to watch TV at 6.00 am. A most ungodly hour for those of us who are "pleasantly unemployed."
Even when I was working, the last thing I needed first thing in the morning was TV.

so Adrian will be happy to leave Daybreak Friday episode, because the show isnt a success?

yeah that is the message ITV want to send out.

no Adrian & Christine should go beg for there jobs back at the BBC.

the BBC should turn them down of course, but I still think it will be "character building" for Adrian & Christine if they asked anyways.

If Adrian is in Valencia he must be covering the football?

Not much about Daybreak that I like to be honest (presenters, content and set) but I keep giving it a try to see if it improves.

Hurray! turned on this morning and we have Dan & Kate as the main presenters. MUCH MUCH better!

Christine should have stayed with The One Show. It gets higher ratings, it's later in the day, no early mornings! I know she's getting paid a lot but getting up at 3 or 4am each week day isn't worth it. It's not good for the bags under your eyes! ;)

She was also going to be the main female presenter of the BBC's coverage of the Olympics in 2012. I read that somewhere. She should have stayed with the BBC. As for Adrian, well I don't find him that sexy so he can go away. :p

no way they can justify paying Adrian as muc as they are for football coverage.

and Christine is going to need a more regular primetime gig than (the most likely awful) Biggest Loser, for ITV to save face.

Oh i really agree with you there!... when i was working and had to 'clock in' at 6am, i used to put the bbc on because of the permanent clock that was on the screen but!, i had it muted and the radio on, as it is much easier rushing around and getting ready and just listening you just haven't got time to sit watching a tv screen at that time in the morning, and besides Alex Lester on radio 2 is a 'gem', and his show is great!....

What do ppl think of Grainne seoige?

She's a huge tv star here in ireland and daybreak is her big break in the uk

Personally I thought she did well- she's absolutely stunning as well

You can't seriously see the BBC taking either of them back can you. Christine has burned her bridges (and sacked the agent who advised her not to move).ITV will always find some sort of ''blokey'' programme for Chiles. When you look at last Friday's figures - 1.5 million for BBC Breakfast, 660,000 for Daybreak - the war is over before it's really begun.

I wonder how long they will give it until it changes if viewing figures keep falling?
Is it wrong that I want to bring back Johnny and Denise and the Bow Locks!!..at least it was funny and cheary

I dont like the sport presenter guy who totally over reacted when Adrian pretended to go and kiss him last week
can't stand the non-pregnant weather girl who cant read and looks dead behind the eyes
the guy who does entertainment stuff is a nobody..who is he?
In fact I only like Kate..and John and they were GMTV stock

as much as Christine can try and seem fun and happy its just hard to warm to her..is it just me?
I do actually like adrian and christine but for this show I sadly am not feeling the love

I am still not so keen on it...it does seem more 'grown up' looks wise than GMTV but it just makes me wish they would bring back the big breakfast as a fun alternative now!
