Daybreak, First Day in, Improvement?

It is a tried tested trick for every woman who wants to outshine her rivals and having donned a mini dress for her first appearance on the Daybreak sofa she ensured all eyes were on her yesterday. Her dress may of been grey and formal in shape, but Grannie or as Adriann says Gran-ya racy hemline made the shows host Christine look positively dreary beside her.

And what's the story of Christine sitting so close to Adrian, does she want to hop up on his knee or something.

Sorry you're wrong,
Their getting the exact same ratings year on year and better on some weeks. 18-22% share

Even when there was substitute presenters like Louise Minchin and Matt Barker the ratings didn't go down.

The one show gains viewers in the Winter and loses them in the Summer, the same as they did with AC and CB over the last few years.

Don't forget that's an average over more than 3 hours. If you assume that most people would only watch it for about half an hour, the "reached" number of people watching it at some point in the morning enRAB up as about 8million. A similar calculation for Daybreak enRAB up at a "reach" of 3.5m.

I agree. I really couldn't abide GMTV, how it looked, what it contained, anything about it. And they should never have replaced TV-am really, that was a huge fook up.

Nope, no explanation what so ever (unless it was made by the announcer before the show, but I don't think so)?

Apparantly he's in Valencia according to a phone call they just did to him? How weird!

How is that wrong? The inference on the post that I was replying to was that the figures Adrian & Christine got were 1-2m and that since Jason and Alex joined the figures have lept to 4m - which simply isn't true...which your stats back up.

But The One Show was a success with Adrian & Christine at the helm whilst Daybreak isn't. If Adrian & Christine do end up staying then ideally they should be 'relieved' of Thursday & Friday, but at the very least Fridays need to go to someone else, if not for anything else but to mirror Lorraine and This Morning.

I don't know if it was a mistake but today Lorraine wasn't listed and it was Daybreak from 6-9.25am. Its back to normal tomorrow, but because her part is the highest rated, I'm wondering if it was done on purpose so the figure released tomorrow is for the entire slot.

Not illegal as such (otherwise Camelot and a few other companies would be in trouble).

But there is no law against devising a competition question that requires more than a modicum of knowledge or intelligence in order to provide the correct answer is there?

I'm sorry for mixing up the first part of your post but

You said Chris Evans had brought Fridays ratings down, ''considerably' which he hasn't. Actually for the last 2 weeks there up and before that they were the same.

But they are considerably down on the rest of the week - which would suggest that Jason and Alex are more popular than Chris & Alex - and what we're really talking about here is the BBC thinking that dropping Adrian from the Friday show would improve ratings by replacing him with Chris Evans - and as yet - that hasn't paid off....

Say they have successfuly (sic) launched Daybreak and will now move on to other projects. Adrain has his footie to keep him happy, Christine can be found one or two daytime programmes (it is rumoured the next series of Biggest Loser although that may be in peak time).I reckon this will happen just before or after Christmas.Bitheway I believe it is Peter Fincham who is/was claiming the credit for luring them from the BBC. He is allegedly a great friend of Chiles. It has, however, turned out to be an expensive business, not to mention getting rid of Steve Ryder.
