Daybreak, First Day in, Improvement?

I didn't like it on day one and as the week has gone on, I haven't changed my mind.
I agree that there is not enough newsy items like someone else said here.
I cringe when I think of the good people they had on GMTV that have now gone yet they paid these two presenters millions.

I felt very very sorry for that poor bird of pray this morning. Having Christine shreaking with laughter at it flying into the rafters. Then, at the end of the show when they all said goodbye and clapped the bird almost died of a heart attack.

Poor sod.

Loved the gorgeous Jack Russell though.

Ouch.

Personally it's growing on me, will probably still end up flicking between the news channels and BBC Breakfast before the month is out and the novelty wares off but a lot more watchable than the tacky GMTV imo.

Personally I don't really dislike Adrian and Christine, but I'm aware there's a lot of people who find them annoying. I haven't watched it yet myself, I might do sometime this week, but ITV seemed to be basing the relaunch entirely on them two. By that I mean the whole campaign seemed to be like "hey look everyone Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley are back together on this new show we've got!"

As I say, I haven't watched it yet, but from the promotional campaign, I couldn't tell you what the show actually involves, or whether it's essentially any different from GMTV

Adrians football commitments are no big deal really, I dont understand why ITV are not letting Christine go on without him.

I dont think this will account for it, be I do think a small part of it, is to do with people viewing formal BBC employees who sold out for the big cheque, possibly leavnig shows they present on TV looking for new presenters, in a negative light. The public support that Christine and Adrine enjoyed via the One Show, may have been lost the moment they signed for ITV.

Easier to like Christine when she is an attractive young irish woman, on her first big break, less easier when she has sold out a show you like, for a

I would agree with you about Adrian and Christine getting too big for their boots. They really should take a hard look at themselves as, particularly Adrian, is absolutely terrible. What the hell are ITV thinking of paying him and her so much.

The show is abyssmal (if that's how you spell it) as well. Never thought I would as I find BBC mostly extremely boring, but I watch them in the morning now.

GMTV had a light-hearted approach to things in the morning which I liked, this show just tries to be funny and serious at the same time and it just does not work.

ITV have to stay with it for the foreseeable future but this programme IMO is heading for a really big crash.

First time i've ever caught Daybreak, I was expecting to see Chiles/Bleakly... I guess they're ill or something.

It seems the try to fit a lot in to a small amount of time which is annoying.. You blink and its on something completely different
