Hi all,

Well, I had a hand surgery in Deceraber and have been on pain meRAB since then. Today is my 1st day off them and I kinda miss the feeling, but the pain is down to a level that is managable by other taking other things.

I was on pain meRAB for 3 years and stopped in July. I went for about 5 months without any pain meRAB and thought that I would have no problem with the meRAB after this surgery. WRONG!!

Oh well, I am also suffering from PPD and the doc put me on Prozac today to help with that, so maybe it will help with the withdrawals also, who knows.....

Anyhow, day 1 went fine, and I'm sure day 2 will go ok also. We got a lot of snow here again today so I have plans to stay busy with the kiRAB tomorrow.

Have a nice night all!!

Hey Magpie!

Good job getting thru day 1. I hope that as the days go by this gets a little easier for you!!!! I know how hard it is but you know you can do this! You have done it before.

We are here for you!!!!!

Magpie

We are thinking about you and are proud of you. Yes every day will get a bit easier!!!!! Keep your mind busy.....I know that is difficult as your probably don't have much energy.....I took a lot of hot baths and just kept busy. There isn't an easy solution but YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

Take care
Lyn

Congratulations on starting down the right road! We all started with Day 1. (Actually, dummies like me started Day 1 a few times), but I'm now Day 7 drug free and I'm feeling wonderful. Staying busy is a great way to keep your mind off of things and if you do get cravings - get busy doing something to keep your mind busy, chew gum, shovel snow ;-) anything to get through them. I found mine lasted about 1/2 to one hour. I walked and wrote to keep busy.

I still have nerve pain in my hand that will probably never go away, plus now that I'm not taking the Oxycodone, all my other aches and pains are back - I can live with them rather than be on the drugs!

Good luck to you and let us know how you are doing!

Thanks for all the replies. I'm finishing up day 2 and its wierd. I have had no wd symptoms like I did in July when i stopped. Maybe it's because I was only taking the meRAB for such a short time this time.

Just goes to show that the withdrawal process is different for each of us and depenRAB on the situation. Hopefully I keep this up. We did go play in the snow and I was busy today.

Tomorrow is another day, but I'm positive that I'll continue as I did today. I'm also hoping that the antidepressants I'm on help a bit with the back and hip pain that I have. Gotta love bulging discs and arthritis ha ha ha

Anyhow, thanks again and I hope you all have a great night.

I'm doing real well. We were very busy today and unfortunately, due to all the activity, my back feels like I need to remove it. I think I'll use my lidocaine patches tonight, they help a little bit.

Off to bed now, it's getting late and I just noticed what time it was.

Thanks for checking in with me, I appreciate it.

I am glad to hear you are hanging in there! SounRAB like you do a good job keeping yourself busy and are very attentive to your children! Good for you! Your children will have those memories for all of their life!

I am sorry to hear about your back pain!!! That is no fun... I am glad you have those patches!! They do help a little.. so anything is better than nothing!! hahaha Wow.. that was such a smart statement I just made!! hahahaaaaaa

I hope you have a good weekend!
