...get rid of them? It flakes off under the fingernail, but haven't tried rubbing compound or anything else.

Take it in to the body shop or is it a waste of time? Any other ideas?

same thing happened to my bonnet, turns out it was just the clearcoat peeling off,
wasn't really that white though.

i just sanded all the clearcoat off and got it re painted, wasnt too expensive because my uncle is a painter, but it fixed the problem :]
