Dating/Age

What's the whole deal, here? Why is it that when you're in high school, 3 years difference when dating is a lot and is usually frowned upon. But let's say you are an grown adult. 5 years difference is like nothing. I am going into my senior year of high school and my gf is going into her freshman year of high school. I know a couple other guys in the same kind of relationship, and people are all like 'ya damn cradle robber' and shit. Even though I am one of the youngest in my class, people still think it strange. Even my mom. Even though she married at 17 to mad father, who was 21 at the time. What's the big fuckin deal? We're both in high school, right? I'm two and a half years older than her. It's not like I'm with a little baby, ya know? Yet I (and others) get ragged on for it. :mfinger:  :mfinger:

i'm five years older than my gf. she was in ELEMENTARY school when i finished high school.

but now she's 18 and i'm 23. and yes, she was 18 when we got together.

:D

First off,you should'nt date your siblings. jk
Im sure its because of her age, what is she 14,..15?
Plus,im sure they know you.You kids arent allowed to have fun.(old people talk)
Watch the age thing though...when you're 18,she wont be.
Do you know what men your age become in prison?

Wet nurses. :moon: :naughty:

it's about the relative difference I think. Between 15 and 18, 3 years difference is like 20% of you're whole life there whereas the older you are, the less significant that difference is. But mostly I think it's just the ridiculous amount of importance teenagers put on status at that age, and dating people significantly younger than you is real bad for the social status. Once you get older, no one gives a fuck (so long as it's legal).

i know what your sayin i had a gf that was 15 and i was 18 and that all want to hell, i ended up in jail for a weekend :( all cause her dad belived her sister (she said we were fuckin around ) and then the cops were callin me a "rapeist" i was like hahahahahahahahaha
yall are fuckin heilorus... then they ran a "rape test kit" and found out the (get this)..... NOTHING, NEVER EVEN FINGERED HERSELF!!!!!!

so i said pfftttttttttttttttt!!!! and i found the woman of my dreams *sigh*
26 6' 140lbs. burnett

i strongly disagree. an 18yrold is still not emotionally self-sufficient, and isn't likely to make responsible life-choices. a 22yrold is WILDLY more self-sufficient, indepenent, and will almost invariably do the responsible thing.

I don't think that two or three years in school is a big deal. Even out of school. As long as u don't fuck around after ur 18. Or if u do, be sure nothing will come from it. I say it's all right. What's a couple of years? My friend's parents are 15 yrs. apart. And I think that they're prob. one of the happiest couples out there.

my dad was 17 and my mom was 19 when they got married and was pregnant with me...I guess that was irresponsible...sometimes my sister refers to me as a screw up, then I think about it and yes that may be true
and now that sux
but also my mom ended up leaving my dad after 20 years of marriage and happiness, all down the drain for some other jackass

I wouldn't mind an early age relationship (well can't anymore, unless she's the young one), but I would do as u guys said and not go too far and make it unlawfull
all I want is a relationship really

old people always say "age doesnt matter as long as they are happy" well then they change their tune when a kids in highschool with the same age difference. I think either age shouldnt matter ar it should, as long as they pick one. its like they say age doesnt matter when its good for them but its always wrong for us. personally I think age shouldnt matter, its stupid especially if its only like 3 or 4 years thats nothing. just think of all those young women marrying all the rich old guys, now thats gross its like your bf is the same age as your grandpa.

i have to say this. the only thing that matters when it comes to dating(gay/straight)
all that matters is that ur not "legally" rapeing the other person.
i mean, there are limits. 21 should not be with 14, 60 shouldn't be with 20(unless theres $$$$$ involved), and if their infants, don't touch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(as if u didn't know).

i think the average 14yrold girl is COMPLETELY incapable of an adult relationship with, say, a 20yrold man.

don't get me wrong, the 20yrold man is probably socially dysfunctional, too, but in a different way. he will not have a healthy relationship either ;]

but i mean, seriously, we need to stick with people whose defects match ours.
