Dateline Rice "discussing"~~~~~So~~~ ?

WASHINGTON
Reuters) – U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice flew to New York on Tuesday to discuss with key powers how to get a ceasefire in Gaza that the United States says must be durable, sustainable and indefinite.

Rice was to meet foreign ministers gathering for a United Nations Security Council meetings on ending the Israeli offensive launched last month with the stated aim of stopping Palestinian rocket attacks on civilians in southern Israel.


~~~So what? How many times during the last four years has she 'discussed' anything that resulted in anything positive?
 
Well let's see if she can pull this off. This is no time for partisan B.S., sustainable peace in that region is in everybody's best interest.
 
She's there for show,to make it look like we are actually doing something, which we are not...
 
Many times. Now that's a postive attitude. I would be willing to bet that your personal accomplishments are nothing near to those of Rice. Just more partisan rhetoric.
 
I don't blame Rice, I don't blame Bush, I don't blame Clinton - and I think Obama will fail to have a true impact as well. The hatred between Islamic terrorists and Israel won't be halted by any agreement. Remember a few years back Arrafat and Rabin shaking hands? Rabin and Sadat at Camp David? The Oslo Accords? And all the rest. Nothing has helped, nothing mitigates the the deep loathing between these people.
