Data Plans

I just found out today that I've been screwed on my data plan for the past little while. I had the $40 plan that I signed up for sometime last year...it only gave my 1mb of Data a month.

For the last little while I noticed on Rogers that it said the $40 plan now provides 7mb! I thought cool but didn't call in to verify - I thought apparently Rogers would just switch my plan.

Stupid of me I guess! Anyways they credited me some of my overages for the last month but when I asked why don't they just let customers know the plan changed or upgrade them automatically and the CSR said - "That's not a service they provide".

I was tempted to ask what service they do provide!
 
you knew ahead of time that it changed. It's just a call away to make sure your not screwed over.
The csr is right. Your lucky that csr even took care of the overage.
 
sorry to hear, but Rogers was making money....they're not about to call anyone to make sure they get "better" packages and not maximize profits...as with Bell to...its buyer beware...its good to call in once in awhile and make sure you're up to date on the rate packages. Could you imagine if they had to call everyone to update their package? Extra time=money...prob rate increase then.....
