Data from a MIDI Device (Casio WK-200) into Audacity?

Okay, so both myself and a friend of mine have recently purchased the Casio WK-200 Keyboard, and are planning to use Audacity to implement it into our own music. Unfortunately, we've hit some snags in getting music from keyboard to Audacity:

The Casio Data Manager software only exports saved songs as sp7 files (which I have not found any free method of converting).

Audacity doesn't directly record from MIDI Devices (just sound devices).

Connecting from the Headphone jack on the keyboard to the MIC jack on our laptops would cause a loss of sound quality and require an jack splitter and 3.5mm cable we don't have (yet).

So my question is; is there any easier way to do this? For example, I've heard that MIDI Interface chords could somehow apply to this, so how do they work? Do they change the data from being MIDI to being Sound on the way to the PC? What about a separate piece of free software that does accept MIDI Data directly from a MIDI device, and is able to convert it to an Audacity-supported format?

Finally, would any setup of the device on the computer be required to allow the keyboard to be recognized by the programs?

Thanks for your time!
