Data cable problems Siemens C45 - Need advice!

Hello

I need your advice on this issue,
I bought a data cable to unlock my Siemens C45 but I been having problems to get it working, The data cable model is RS-232.
I have tried to unlock the mobile and below is the results of what I get when I click on the unlock button after powering the mobile on:

COMM_LoadBoots : selected phone family is 2
TTY_OpenCOMPort : opening COM2
COMM_IsBootRunning : bootcode does not seem to be running
COMM_LoadBoots : Waiting to power on the phone ...
COMM_LoadBoots : phone is not powered on
-------------------------------
I am not sure what I am doing wrong
I don't know if I need a driver download for the serial cable, I do believe there is one for the usb cable but not for the serial cable!

Could anyone help

if u have an original cable from siemens it won't work.
If it's not original then phone must be off and when u start the update when it says:
COMM_LoadBoots : Waiting to power on the phone ...
you just click shortly red button (but without lighting on the phone)

I have the original cable, I tried the procedure several times but no success

Any other ideas?

with the original cable you cannot do it.
You can modify the cable anyway.I did it with my me45 (i think cable it's the same).
You have to open the plug that goes in the mobile (u don't need any tools) and connect it to a 4,5 Volts battery like this:
you should see 5 cables: black white red yellow and green
the - must be connected together with pin1 to the plug, (cable should be black) and u have to pull out pin 4 (red cable) and connect this to the +. (don't plug it back)
IT's not that difficult, you just two need thin cables and u don't need to solder it.
Otherwise you can buy a non-original cable (10-15 euro) although I don't know where..
