The dash lights on my 95 Dodge Dakota work when I first start driving the truck. But if I stop and start the truck again, the dash lights and guages no longer work. The lights on the radio and heat / ac control work. If turn the dimmer all the way down (so you can barely see the lights on the radio and heat / ac control, the guages will work (but the dash lights don't). Anyone know what would cause this ?

The rear of the instrument cluster has a printed circuit (similar to a circuit except it's very flimsy, not a hard board) Sounds like you're losing the connection at the printed circuit. This is common as alot of dust and grime build up under/behind the dash. It is a pain in the butt job, but I would try removing the instrument cluster, remove the printed circuit, and wipr it clean with a damp cloth.Make sure it is dry before reinstalling. GOOD LUCK!!
