Dark Knight - The most Cursed Movie Ever?

Doesn't really augur well considering that it was Terry Gilliam's film, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (I had to copy and paste that title, I can never remember it), which was actually Heath's last film - he was in the middle of filming it when he passed away. As Heath's frienRAB, Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell have taken over Heath's part to complete the filming.

I don't buy into all this curse thing except for The Omen, The Exorcist and things like that which seem to dabble in evil and satanism. I can see nothing within Dark Knight that would or could cause such a 'curse'. Although I have to admit it crossed my mind after hearing about Bale and then I was utterly convinced for a few minutes when I heard about Freeman, but I've changed my mind since.

Although I have to add, I can't resist the temptation, wasn't it during the filming of the Dark Knight that Maggie Gyllenhaal's skirt caught fire and, if it wasn't for Heath reacting so quickly and putting it out, that could have been fairly nasty?

I think she has one line. It's when Batman is beating the crap out of everyone in Eric Roberts' nightclub, she's standing next to Roberts' character, half turned away from the camera. (I think!)

Why start a thread if you're going to react like that when someone disagrees with you?

Did you only want responses which agreed with your ridiculous "cursed" theory?

You're right, I shouldn't have lowered myself to your level with the eyes rolling thing. I don't mind people disagreeing at all, I just don't like rudeness and you're answer came across as very rude. Just like the second one!

I didn't recognise her either but apparently she was in the scene in the nightclub:

Mistress: "Can't we go someplace quieter?! We can't hear each other talk."
Maroni: "What makes you think I want to hear you talk?"

And that was the end of her big moment. :D

ROFLMAO:D!!!!!

Oh yeah that is SUCH a big, memorable, Oscar winning role:rolleyes:;)!

As for the OP's question nope I don't think it is a Curse personally.

Concidence yes but Curse no IMO:).

The new bond movie has also got the stigma of been cursed i remember reading on sky news they lost a db9 in lake como as the stunt driver was taking it to the set.

Daniel Craig actually took of the top of a finger while filming a sword fight. The leading bond girl was knocked out in the filming of one scene and if i remember right a stunt man was killed while filming a huge scene..

If you want cursed movies try the Omen. In the original movie David Warner's character is decapitated. One year later the SFX guy who set that up and his assistant had a car crash - the assistant was cut in half see http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qn4156/is_20051023/ai_n15715683

then of course there is Superman

Margo Kidder had a nervous breakdown

Christopher Reeve was crippled in a riding accident

George Reeves who played the part of Superman was shot

...and of course Marlon Brando had his problems - his daughter killed herself, his son murdered the daughter's boyfriend and died earlier this year.

Grow up - how can you say that the stars of Superman The Movie suffered because of a curse on the movie - then mention a guy who played Superman on TV thirty years earlier?

Margot Kidder suffers from manic depression (and has done since before Superman was released). When she was found wandering the streets claiming she was being followed in 1996 this was a direct result of her illness.

So, from a film that starred well over a hundred different actors, and was at the time one of the biggest films in terms of production, takings and crew, one person died, 26 years later. From falling off a horse 17 years later, and surviving in a wheelchair for a further 9 years after that. Must be cursed...
