Dancers, Why do you dance?

For me it came with my last name, I am a 4th generation dancer/choreographer in my family.
My great grandmother was a dancer in a Vaudeville review in the 1920's.
My grandmother danced for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Ballet Co. My mother was in 3 different ballet companies & a studio owner, and my uncle is a Professional Ballroom dancer/teacher in Chicago. I have danced since I could stand and I was raised in a studio. So dancing is a huge part of my family history. I love that I am part of a dancing legacy! I have taught for over a decade, choreographed since 2004 and I won’t quit till my legs fall off, lol.
But tell me why you dance! What’s your personal dance story?! Share what inspired you to take your first turn, put your first ballet slipper on, or why your passionate about dance!!

My grandma had always wanted me to do it, so i started for her.
and gradually enjoyed it myself,
but then i rebelled against ballet and moved to hiphop which i seem to be more natural at.
