Dance in puffy prom dress?

I bought a really poofy prom dress and my guy friend just reminded me it would be impossible to dance. Any tips or ideas on how to dance in it? it cost me $300 and too late to get a different one. Please help!
 
Move you upper body more than your legs. Don't spread your feet far apart. It depends how puffy the dress is how far your feet should be apart.
