I would like to know how far this has come on. Does anyone have any recent news?
There hasn't been much said since mid-2007, but I understand that around this time of year they should be shooting some scenes at RAF Scampton.
But I do have another question. It was said that Mel Gibson had held the rights to the original movie and, presumably, it's title. He has since passed the on to David Frost. (Is that the same Sir David Frost we used to see on the TV?)
But you can't own the rights to an historic event, surely. Anyone could go out and make a movie about 617 Squadron and it's dambusting role - simply give it a different name, like "Busting the Dams", "Wallis & Gibson" (
I jest) or something similar anyway.
