I have kinky, thick hair, and I haven't had a relaxer in almost three months. This is bad for my hair, since I need relaxers every 10 weeks at the most, or the next time I go, my hair will come out in balls. I want to get a touch up, but I have a few itchy scabs that look a little red from the blood. I try not to scratch, but it's hard. I've had scabs before, but never this bad. What should I do- I must get a relaxer, soon, and I think I will because if I wait too long, my hair will be even more damaged-will getting a touch up in a few days really be of harm?
help, need good advice(from beautician or someone who has gotten a relaxer before)

Wait, why do you have scabs if its been 3 months since your last relaxer? But definetly stop scratching it. I know it itches, but the burning is just going to be worse if you make your skin raw before you go.

While it's healing, you should do your best to wash, condition and moisturize your hair between visits. Keeping it combed and free of mats and tangles will also help it fall out less when you have it done again.

I hope that helps :) I know what you're going through.
