Dallas-Ottawa; center ice HD game tonight

I need some explanation from the Forum because I am not getting a satisfactory answer from BEV. I live in Halifax area of N.S. and subscribe to NHL Center Ice and HD channels. Tonight the game above was advertised on NHL CI on standard and hidef. The info on NHL CI showed the program was not viewable in my area but to go to the Ottawa PPV channels. There the info said the prgram not available in the East except for NHL CI subscribersand the game was available on the NHL CI channels but they weren't. I called BEV twice, the first time I couldn't understand the person real well as they were very French. He gave me a phone number for CTV to lodge my problem. I called and not even voice mail, the phone simply disconnected. I called BEV again and was eventually told a box on my account was changed and to power off/on the 9242 receiver and after 10 minutes the game should be available. I did the reboot but nothing worked. Can someone explain what is going on? Did anyone across Canada see the Dallas/Ottawa game on NHL CI and where are you located?

since you live in the Senators territory, this game would not be available to you via Center Ice but should have been available for PPV purchase. Assuming your receiver is set up for PPV (phone connected), then if you weren't able to buy it, it was probably bell's fault.
 
I find it weird that one time when I tried to watch a game it said it was blacked out in my area, but yet I am able to get Leafs TV which is supposed to be for all of Ontario BUT the Senators region.

So I couldn't watch a Sens game because I am in the Senators region, but I can get LeafsTV because I am not in the Senators region?
 
That's the way it's supposed to be. NHL-CI is an "out of market" package, meaning its purpose is to get you coverage of all teams *other* than your home team. Your home team sells local rights to the A-Channels & Sportsnets of the world, and the NHL-CI blackout rules are there to protect those local rights.
 
Halifax is considered Ottawa Sens territory (go figure) and therefore the game wouldn't be available on NHLCI. Only out of market Sens games are on NHL-CI or games not broadcast within the Ottawa region by SN East. Since it was a PPV game for people in the Sens region you would have had to plug the reciever into the phone line and purchase the game.

I live in Halifax and have had the exact same prob when my team (US Based) played the sens last year and it was a PPV game.
