Daft Punk&Leiji Matsumoto's Interstella 5555:5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem-Talkback

?????

Ok

Kind of weird to fight to that song but then again I dont know how the fight goes...nor do I want to. I'll just find out a week from Wednesday.

Nice to finally have names for the band instead of saying The guitar player, The Hero, and so forth

I bought it today at Best buy $15.50 after tax. It's really great. The story is well told, the music is well used and the ending is really nice too. I highly recommend it.

Finished watching it and.......

Awesome totally awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Somthing About Us and and Voyager were my favorites, both songs were mellow and the romantic in me says that the little dream with Shep and Stella right before he dies was sweet

5.1 glorious channels of sound, unless my system was faking it without telling me. Anyway, that presentation was absolutely awesome. Good music, excellent animation, and a fun if somewhat predictable storyline. Definitly a must buy. My only criticism is that a little dialogue wouldn't have hurt, or even just a scroll that explains backgrond stuff. Only music gets a little old after about 45 minutes.

This was such a cool concept to begin with and it delivered on all I expected it to be.

I'm not a fan of Leiji Matsumoto's style, but it's a perfect fit with Daft Punk's music. There were lots of cool tidbits, like as mentioned before- Daft Punk making a cameo. The only thing I didn't like was the major fight was a bit anti-climactic, but it's still great.

Just watched Interstella 5555 for the first time in a while and man it's one those great pieces of work. Of course it's not for everyone since there isn't a single piece of spoken dialog and some my be put off by it, to those who aren't it's a real treat. Great animation and of course the music by Daft Punk a great techno group. It's just one of those jewels that make me love anime and shows just how great animation in general can be when it wants to.

Anyone else feel like that or not?

Also if you haven't seen it please check it out

It's really excellent. In fact, unless you absolutely cannot stand techno under any circumstances, just about anyone should give it a rental (or buy it if you really enjoy it). The plot is really silly, but that's not the point. It's a glorified, professional AMV and a very fun way to spend an hour. There's also a few small noRAB to Leiji Matsumoto fans, like the Harlock costume in that one scene.

It's well done and literally in a class of its own, really. It's not to be missed.

My favorite track is One More Time. I went and bought it on iTunes because of Interstella 5555.

I happen to like the plot, band gets stolen by rich guy to make money, cool guy in guitar space craft saves them,
cool guys dies
, then band destroys rich guy, travel back to home planet, everything is awesome, the end.

And all of that is accomplished by no diolauge whatsoever...

The villian's plan wasn't to make money, but rather to use the band (or at least the female meraber) as the final step in a plan to to take over the world/universe.
