Daffleing a 06 C90

good luck to you. a guy i know with an '05 c90 wants to try it as well but he doesn't know if its possible with the bottom pipe being a little bit different. please keep us informed as to how everything went.

Don't do it. Will not work. I believe they are the same pipes as the LC1500 pipes with a minor change at the mounting point of the head.

There are some threads in here that deal with that in the Cruiser section where people have done it and they ended up having to go out and buy aftermarket pipes because of that difference.

Save your money and go buy some aftermarket pipes. You will find that the lower pipe is not able to be debaffled without major modification.

I heard one LC once that had the top pipe debaffled and the bottom butchered and it sounded sick. Not sick like in cool,,, but sick like it was dying. Upon catching up with him he said he has some pipes on order and wished he never screwed with the factory ones.

I was so happy to have my HardKrome's on it at that point.

Hello ...robterrihoward here. I backed out of doing it. Bottom pipe just dont look like it will work. I however 2 months ago drilled 8- 1/2inch holes around the plate of the pipe. Not much difference in sound but easy to do.Thats when i relized that the pipes have some other stuff in them that you just cant do it like the video. Im planning on getting new pipes anyway. Any brands that are better than others. I like VH or DG 3 inch Big Straights.

I don't think you could de baffle the C90.
The factory exhaust is not what you think it is.
The pipes both front and back cylinder come off the head and when they reach the what looks like the muffler, they make a 90 degree turn and enter into the muffler that is mounted under the bike behind the engine?transmission then comes right back out with a 90 into what looks like the mufflers but in fact I believe they are just housings for look. The actual muffler is right there under the bike.
You can look at the diagram on the Suzuki parts site and look at it.

So in all you'll be replacing the full system. No slip on's for the Boulevard.

Nate...... I was reading on what you have on your bike. Thats the same things im getting on mine. Did you do it yourself and if so how hard was it. thanks Rob

Hi,

I live in Newcastle Australia, there's a bike shop here that does billiant mods to bikes and I have talked and riden with a guy with an 05 C90 who got him to modify his bike.

The shop opened up the air box, K&N filter, powercomander, debaffled the pipes and remapped his bike. They got a 12% increase in power and 15% more torque.

His bike now sounds much deeper but not loud.

I am going to get them to do the same to mine shortly ... when I have saved the cash up.

Sorry for the late reply.
I did the work my self. I changed out the factory pipes for he Hard Krome 3 inch big straights. The job was tough in the fact you never have enough hands.
Other than that, it was rather easy to do.
On a scale for 1 - 10. I'd say 6.
