"Da Jammies" to The CW4Kids?

From Da Jammies' Twitter Page: "Da Jammies is a 3D animated sitcom that follows five kids from the ?Suburbs? who attend a Performing Arts middle school."

It's been in development since 2005, and it was originally done in traditional 2D animation (you can watch a trailer with the original animation here). Just recently though, they decided to revamp the show in CGI, and now it may be coming to The CW4Kids, depending on a vote at 4Kids.tv.

You can watch the whole pilot episode (and also vote) here: http://www.4kids.tv/da-jammies

Personally, I thought it was good, with some excellent music and solid animation. The actual writing could use some work, but it's just the pilot so I won't judge it too soon. I definitely hope it comes to The CW4Kids, though, because the block desperately needs some new comedies.

Its definitely a step or 2 below most comedies, I'm not sure if i heard any real jokes in it. The writing isn't there, but most everything else is, including a decent plot. I'd like to see it on the cw4kids if the writing improved. But right now it seems more like an empty drama rather than a comedy.

Now, obviously I don't know what this is about because the video isn't working, but...

Did anyone else think "oh god, not another 'Da Boom Crew'" when they clicked on this thread? At least they're giving kids a choice this time, though.

BTW, whatever happened to that other show they had a poll for, Rocket Monkeys I think? I thought I heard that it won the chance to get a series produced, but I don't think we've heard anything since.

As did I. I can't say that I'm a huge fan of this shows' "funky fresh, hip-hop style", and there didn't seem to a whole lot of actual jokes in the trailer that I saw (at least with Shawn and Marlon Wayans' Thug-A-Boo Crew, I could see where they were trying to be funny). And the fact that the shows' producers switched from traditional hand drawn animation to CGI isn't going to make anyone here like this show any more.

This show won't run for years, but it may stay on for a season or 2 before CW4Kids moves on to something else.
