Hi! my situation is because i live in a basement so my reception on the D500 keep on dropping and very low signal. I just wonder which phone is better for a reception? Actually i just have those 2 models in mind but if anyone can come up with a better reception phone I might will get it. Btw ppl told me that Quadband phones will be better for the basement use?
Thank in advance and best regards

euh i guess you have it wrong bro. cause D500 is a triband http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_d500-900.php
i really like the specs on the N80 but when it comes to the size and the look.

Not true. Quadband phones can be used in more countries. In Canada, you'll only be using the 850 and 1900 bands. The 900 and 1800 bands are extraneous unless you use your phone outside North America.

yes and no.

triband and quadband dont have much to do with reception. it all depends on what bands it uses. most tribands (like the one you have) use 900/1800/1900. getting a quadband will give you 850/900/1800/1900. since you will use 850 and 1900, yes it will give you better reception. but some triband phones use 850/1800/1900, and would give you the same reception as the quadband... so just check the specs...

and the n80 is my next phone probably... that or the Sony Ericsson P990...

if i were you, i'd get the N80, which has superior RF over the D900. i tried both. and plus nokia is known for their RF and usually samsungs are so-so although i think they are getting better
