D500 or D600

Okay so i currently have a razr, and it's annoying the hell out of me, because it's too thin, and too wide for me to hold comfortably. I keep dropping it.

I want a slider phone, and I've been looking at samsungs.

I've been looking at the d500 and d600.

Both phones look nice, but i'm actually leaning towards the look of the older d500. Does anyone have opinions on that?

Also, i want a phone that can play music through an external speaker, so i can play songs when walking around with my friends. This is one reason i'm fuzzing about the d500.

To add on to that, i want an all black phone, the pictures of the d600s i've seen so far are all silverish, where can i get an all black one? Is the coolbee.com one black?

Basically spec wise, d600 kills d500.. I just want to see what some of you guys' opinions are.

i would go for the d600. because it has quad band incase you go overseas and if you have cingular u need that 850 band.

I do indeed have cingular, but can you explain exactly why i need the 850? What does it do?
 
I live in Southern Ontario. Not sure about reception where you live, but here, if your phone isn't a quad-band, you're going to get some dropped calls in outlying areas. I have the D500 and my wife has the Motorola V220, which is a quad-band. Her phone pretty much always gets better reception than mine. In the city it's not an issue, but travelling between cities, if you only have the GSM 1900 (Samsung D500), you have a better chance of losing reception than a phone with GSM 850. If music is an issue with you, get better speakers for your computer, don't skimp on phone reception. You heard it here.
