D Day for TMNT Sequal...

Fantastic.

It's been a while since I've seen it now so I actually am anticipating the DVD release of the other movie even though I saw it twice.

Source?

Anyway, don't get me wrong, I love the Ninja Turtles concept as a whole, but I am actually hoping there isn't a sequel.

To cut a long story short, 4Kids Entertainment is involved with the movie on some level, even if it isn't necessarily on a monetary level. I cannot and will not invest in anything this company is involved with even indirectly...even in name only.

I don't mean to offend anyone who has seen/likes the movie, but for me, that's just the way it is.

Oh, and spare me the "nobody's forcing you to watch it" comment. I would love to watch the movie and any sequel that comes out of it, but while I admittedly am not entirely certain as to the manner/extent of their involvement, I know that 4Kids is involved with this movie in some way other than making money off of tie-in products (toys, video games, etc), 2000's TV series or not.

I hope you all understand.

One other thing, please don't ask me to explain the details. It's a very long story, and I don't want to end up unintentionally offending/insulting anybody...:(

Sorry, my bad.

After reading both posts at the same time, I now understand. I am really sorry. I didn't get a good look at it the first time.

However, the position I have expressed in the rest of my post still stands.

Is it really. Because Mirage owns the character/concept rights, Weinstein's in charge of the production, Imagi's actually making the film, WB is in charge of distribution and dvd release, Playmates is in charge of toys, Ubisoft is in charge of the video game. As far as I can tell 4Kids gets nothing from this deal except some cross-promotional value for the current cartoon series (which is being retooled to feel more like the film).

And thus make a sight out of himself by denying the support of a decent franchise just because some company's name is attached to it. : \

Who's Ralph?

Anyway, I hope the movie focuses less on Raph and Leonardo. As important as Leo is as the leader and Raph is a great character, Don and Mikey deserve more screentime, even some development. The stuff we did get was great, but that just made me feel like we could have gotten so much more out of them.
