Cyber Punk "style" Film Recommendations Please.

I really like films like Blade Runner, Matrix, A Scanner Darkly etc. films based around technology, altered realities and which are dark, both in look and storyline.

Can anyone recommend me some films in that style please???
 
Most of the best 'cyberpunk' ones have been mentioned. Try looking into anime, should be a lot like Ghost in the Shell, and Akira about, these two are the only ones I have seen myself, so can't recommend, but should find something in that world. The anime Metropolis is one I want to see and suppose to be fantastic. Appleseed stuff is a must too.

Try Ultraviolet, from the makers of Equilibrium, just unfortunately it's not as good as the very underrated Equilibrium, brilliant film.

Oooo you must see Hackers, good film from 1995.

Cypher is a good film, try The Thirteenth Floor too.

Cube film series, first one is really the one to see.

Chrysalis is rather a good French film too that came out last year, and you will want to try the French animation Renaissance.
 
I was going to recommend Cypher as well! Brilliant film.
I can also vouch for Thirteenth Floor & Dark City.
Maybe Primer - but that's more about time-travel paradoxes - very dark & almost impossible to unravel.
Strange Days is also quite a good one.
 
Yes, you're on the right tracks - as these are some of my favourite films.
