Custom Sms Tone

I am extremely tech savvy..but for some reason I cant get this to work..there just not showing up in the notification window..im plugged in Via usb..have all the folders name correctly and still nothing...Ive tried to format twice and still nothing..any help?

GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT WE WANT LOL... We want to be able to set custom tunes/tones/mp3's etc for SMS/MMS text messages &phone calls for each contact! whether it be a short clip or a full song.

Unplug from USB, then try it. They can not be seen on the phone (for selection) unless you have the USB unplugged.

Right, It's used as a mass storage. Many mass storage interfaces do not let the device read directly if connected to a pc

i use the exact same one, i have never changed that tone because its so awesome. i've used it on my bb pearl, bb curve and bb 8120.

HI go get this app.. 'rings extended' it will allow you to use any tone for any notification. I had the same problem as you all did !. after installing, go to settings, sounds,notification ringtone then select rings extended and scroll to the sound you want to use. easy Tx

the whole point is, this phone is nice and advanced..i shouldn't have to get 3rd party anything for such task.

No the point of this phone is that it is "open" and allows for open development. It gives you all the options you want.. 3rd party apps is the main purpose of this phone. Unlike the iphone you can download any app you want by going to the link in your browser. freedom to download apps that help you.
