I would like some feedback regarding skateboards. Last year I got my son an Angelboy complete board (7.35" x 29") and it has worked quite nicely. He is now 8 and starting a skateboard camp and I was told this board is not that good and he should get another board. From what I have read, this is a good board. Anyway, I am going to custom build a board for him. He is only 8 years old, 48" tall , 48lbs. and his shoes are 8" long.
Here is what I am thinking:
minilogo deck 124 k12 (7.5x 31.375), with Jessup grip tape
Mini Logo Riser Pad Set 1/4 inch Black
bones reds bearings
Bones Sk8 Park Formula 53mm wheels
Industrial Ii Truck 4.75 Black trucks
Lucky soft bushings
This set up is $113 to my doorstep, built.
Anything else I should consider? Keep in mind his age, weight, and foot size, as to what he can easily maneuver. How can someone with small feet and light weight get 'pop' from his board?
Thanks.
