Cursed...a free verse..um..poem?...what do you think?

Cursed

This curse consumes
swelter lust
after a fashion
in the shadows of denial
does it still glimmer there
hinted
that it fallows the heart
were romance true
we'd have no need for fiction
were it so
then poets tongues
would be made busy with affection
and would have no lease or licenses
form want of time
never to drape verse
upon the cursed thing
