I don't see a problem, if we don't try to keep our sense of humour and proportion it just gets scammed endlessly by the BNP and everyone ends up crying. Plus, there is a far higher level of wit here than on 'jokes'.
Occasionally someone posts a link that is not from the Sun, Daily Mail, or Sky News and everyones' IQ shoots up a couple of points, bit like the YA scoring system, except that there is no automatic Mensa membership when you get to Level 5.
Hello James M. I said this, last year, when I first joined & was a boring old fart.[or fartess].
I now have grown up a lot & this site has & does give me intellectual stimulation [with great current event questions & answers] plus the humour has lowered my blood pressure & I hope this also may happen for you.
It's a balanced site.
James, if you can't find any serious current event questions on here, then you are not looking very hard.
95% of the questions that I answer are 'serious' questions, however ther is room for some light hearted ones as well.
