I'm looking to write a thesis paper on Australia. The guidelines are that it has to be sociologically interpreted and it has to be based around a current event (current as in occurring within the past year or so.) I keep up on the Australian news online, but am having a hard time figuring out a specific event which would be relevant sociologically. Is there any event occurring in AU you can think of which could be interpreted from a sociological viewpoint?
