Well i am learning about the periodic table and the shielding effect along with atomic numbers. However, the teacher requires a current event to go along with the current unit of study in a way of an event that you have interest in such as cars or a fashion show, and then you can relate that to the current unit of study of which is periodicity. My first current event was on fashion skirts since they were so popular among the students that i related it to making a graph and having different percentages of the skirts. I can't really find a current event for this unit and that is what i am asking for help on. It can be related in a serious way or a funny way...just depending. Maybe a current event that can be related to the table being divided into four ways-metals, metalloids, nonmetals, and noble gases. Or the periodic table having sublevels of s,p, d, and f. I'm not sure but an event that can be related to elements or something of the periodic table. Please help me and thank you soo much...i can definately promies you the 10 points for best answer!
