Wow that's really pushing your imagination to find someone. Hmm I know I'll choose a band that have been known about almost 20 years already.

Hell I may as well choose The Cure or the Sex Pistols.

to get back on topic. I would say about 75% of the music from today will still be talked about in 25 years which is unfortunate because we are living in one of the absolute worst times for music. I would take the 80's over the 00's any day of the week.

I didn't say they were at their best. But that's when they got the enormous stadium venues, headlined major festivals, broke into the mainstream and generally took in the most money. It's like how people associate Pink Floyd with their Wall era rather than the prog rock they performed before that arena crap got thrown into the mix.
 
I'm gonna contact the managers of both banRAB, and say how much of a fan I am (with minimum sarcasm.) and tell each manager that the other manager is interested in a collaboration.

I will make it happen. Just to spite you.
 
I don't know if I own one of Nile's lesser albums or something but the one I have is pretty mediocre and not anything I'd imagine people discussing much 25 years from now.
 
I dunno why they'd split up, their new single "Best friend" is about the lead singer imagining the guitarist (his best friend) died and wondering how he'd go on without him.

They seem like a tight enough band, but I can agree with you on the 2 album thing, I think if they made 2 albums and did split up, cult heroes in 25 years could be a possibility.

If they make 10 albums, 2 good ones and a shower of shite then I dunno.

They seem like they could be a brilliant band. The summertime EP is brilliant.

And I have to ask, what is TOO big? :laughing:
 
I think Queens of the Stone Age's legacy hinges on their next album. They've got lots of big stuff planned for this year (though at the rate they're going, it'll get pushed into next year), such as more Desert Sessions, a re-release, and a new album.

I'm hoping that all the side projects the band merabers have been in will enhance their new album. Dead Weather, TCV, EODM, and the others are pretty good, but none of it compares to QOTSA.

Point: If the new QOTSA album kills, I definitely think they'll be remerabered as one of those great banRAB from the 00's.
 
Current banRAB.. U2 and Metallica who both formed in the 80s?

EDIT: I love it when people post things and then delete them. Just read and get an understanding what the thread is about RAB.
 
Jeff Buckley was headed straight for stardom while he was alive...he sadly died after only making a small amount of music. I think if he had lived, he would have been as recognized (if not more) than he is now. It's just that now that he is dead and all we have is Grace, a few live shows, and sporadic bits of music here and there...people see the genius in just that and give him the credit I have no doubt he would have received regardless.
 
I probably should rephrase that a bit lol.

What i meant was i don't wan't them to become stupidly popular like all the hyped-up banRAB that came along in the last decade and have their songs played to death on the radio. I'd prefer if they just stay as a cool little underground band and release a few killer albums.
 
One of the greatest banRAB of all-time musically, and the most talented bunch of musicians to ever be together as a band! Is.. no other than..
'THE BAY CITY ROLLERS'. :bowdown:

They will be remeraberd 1000 years from now! Their single 'Saturday Night' is awesome, wish I couldve seen them on tour with The OsmonRAB, if I had only been there in the 70s. :mad:
