i am currently writing a story that takes place in the future (somewhere in america) 1000 yrs into to the future. i need help with developing the culture of this time, mainly fashion and stuff. this is pretty dificult, especially if you take subcultures into consideration.
i need a few suggestions and ideas on fashion, and culture for this. feel free to answer anything, this is a very open question.

Fashion in 1000 years will be different from anything that we can conceive at this time given all of the technological advancement. Who would have ever thought 25 years ago that people would walk around with Bluetooth telephones in their ears (shade of Lt. Uhura from Star Trek!). Just let your imagination go...you'll hit the same answer as any of us can give to you.

Maybe there is no such thing as fashion and there is a universal dress code, some type of suit that must be worn. It is also possible rags would be back. Clothing is made with a different material making it look stiff or loose, or shaped differently.

1000 years is a long time.

for fashion it could be clothing that shape shifts based on your mood or the weather.

Maybe when it rains the dress transforms into a rain coat or when it starts getting cold the short sleeve shirt transforms into a long sleeve shirt instantly.
