Hey there,
This isn't for a school project or anything, but i'm interested to know if any one has an answer / theory to the following question. I'm american and my dad does volunteer work with Cherokee people as a translator and what not, and i have always thought about this. i'd like some answers.
Would Australian / American / Latin American aboriginals or African tribesmen have ever created societies similar to those that Western society has today, if exploration and colonization of these countries did not occur???
While i was on holidays with my family in Australia, i learned a few things about the aboriginals there and it seems that they simply lived by remaining in a certain area, using all resources, burning the area once all resources had been used up for the undergrowth to reform and then moving on again. Would the australian aboriginals have ever devised a way in which these resources could be harvested etc?? As it seems such a simple idea in our western society/culture
So yeah, there's a thought for you if you're interested in answering that would be cool.
Thanks
