Hi, (dont want to be a pest but)

Exactly 16 Days ago ( Jan 3rd) I was rammed by a city bus while riding my bicycle. On the day of the injury I was told I had a small fracture on the cuboid and calcaneus on my right foot. The day of the accident I was pretty druged and the pain was very mild to moderate, but the next day it was horrendous I went to the ER and more x rays were taken showing the same injury. I was seen by a podiatrist the 3th day and he put on a boot cast. The following day ( tuesday the 6th ) I had the worst pain in my life so bad that I was crying and wanted my foot cut off,it was that bad, I was on Percocet didnt work and then on Dilaudin and Morphine and I was out.. Im still on Percs to keep the pain under control. I was seeing by a OS and he told me that I was very lucky, the scan showed nothing major but he wanted an MRI * Last friday Jan 16th, my foot is very swollen my toes are kind of blackish and the toop of my foot is very dark red, my aquiles tendon area is extremely swollen as well I also have a green spot on my sole with a black spot on the top part of the sole. I can't walk, my calve is basically gone all i have there is a flab and some brusing. My concern is the color of my foot and who horrible it feels when I stand up. Both the ER and the OS asked me to remove the boot while resting home. I have the MRI images and if someone can shed some light I will greatly apreciate it. The next appoinment is friday but i am pretty worried...

Thanks

Hi,
My best advice to you is to keep your foot elevated above your heart and to constantly have a bag of ice on it. You should be non weight bearing as much as possible. Look into getting a knee scooter(they can be rented) or use crutches. Good luck. Liz:wave:
