My soon to be ex-wife claims to have a recording of my end of a phone conversation between me and my lover (I'm assuming she used some device hidding in our home). She claims that in this recording I talk about having sex with my lover, allude to the duration of our affair, and my insistence about keeping it a secret because my lover is a subordinate in my workplace (putting both our jobs at risk). My lawyer, who has been practicing for 22 years, and a few other lawyers I've talked with, claim that while reprehensible, recording conversations in the home without my knowledge isn't illegal. Then I read in other places that all parties must consent to recorded conversations. Is what she did illegal in CT if a recording device is used in a home and happens to catch a phone conversation?
