In a land of eternal darkness, only one bright star lights the capital city, where few are allowed to go. For the rest of the world, the Letter Bees are the ones who can provide them information. When a man aspiring to become the Head Bee, Gauche Suede, is sent to pick up a package in the middle of nowhere, he learns a boy named Lag Seeing has had his mom taken. There isn't much Gauche can do for him though, so he delievers him as a package and teaches him how the monsters of the world can be defeated. Little does he know he also plants in Lag's heart the desire to become a Letter Bee himself so he can see his mom in the capital city once more. Join Gauches, Lag, and the rest of the Letter Bee corps in one of Shonen Jump USA's newest series and a brand new anime to boot- Tegami Bachi: Letter Bee. Episodes premiere on Crunchyroll each Saturday at 11:30 AM for Anime Merabers and a week later for everyone else.

Available so far:
1) Letter and Letter Bee
2) My Friend
3) Crybaby Boy, Letter Girl

Another series I've watched all of and will continue on. This was one of the few anime I knew I would be watching from when the fall selection was announced, since I've been enjoying it in Shonen Jump. Unfortunately, despite this, it has some drawbacks of its own. The manga has much better pacing, and I like the look better, even though it's nice to see some color added to it. Also, all the Gaichuu being CGI just looks so out of place.

I've got to admit that I don't mind the monsters being made in CGI, but the actual cities being CGI does make them look a little out of place. The introduction to Niche is basically the speed I expected it to be, but it does seem to drag a bit in anime form. I can't wait for them to introduce steak though an see how they treat the interaction between Niche and Steak in the anime series.

How long is the series exactly? It seemed like this series is a fun watch so I might watch it if I get a chance, but just curious on the length.

Seriously, what is the point of making an anime adaption to a manga that is run monthly and hasn't even gotten far in production? I hope the Ultimo anime doesn't start this early.

Yeah, I love the manga and I'm glad there's an anime (other than the out-of-place CGI), but they really should have waited a while to make the anime.

Actually, I think it's unknown. I mean, I remeraber it being listed as 13 episodes a while ago but I don't see that listing anymore.

That 13 episodes is in no way official. There were 7 volumes of the manga published when it started, so that's enough material for about 25 episodes right there (with 3-4 fillers, maybe).

Considering the pace they are taking there's no way it'll just be 13 eps. That would end up basically just finishing introducing all the characters .

Niche's pantsu are serious business. I think that's the most times I've ever heard talking about panties in anime without it being totally fanservice related.

We need more LagXSylvette by the way.

I notice that Lag tenRAB to cry in nearly every episode but surprisingly it doesn't annoy me since he usually gets sad for a reason.

I wish there wasn't the loli element caused by Niche's pantsu discussions, but at least it doesn't really show anything. It was a little more prominent in this episode with Sylvette's underwear actually being girl's panties.

The anime is now past the manga in English, and it must not be much further in Japanese, since that Christmas episode next week sure looks like filler.
