Cruel Intentions

I also thought SMG portrayed the character really well. And the delievery of her line towards the end... "Goodbye, Sebastian." was fantastic, imo.

The story is supposed to be based on a French book and having read it I can say that it wasn't true to the original story!
I still liked the movie though!!

I saw it for SMG, and ended up loving it. I must say, I did not understand Sebastian's redemption, though, and I wish he'd stayed with Kathryn. But it was so beautiful and heartbreaking as it was, I really can't complain.

I watched the film because of Sarah Michelle Gellar but fell in love with the tragic storyline.

Unlike shrrshrr, I think that this film has one of SMG's finest perfomances ever. She's so good at being a bitch. :)

There was only one Cruel Intentions that worked and we all know which one that was.

One of my favorite scenes was when Sebastian and Annette meet and talk for the first time. The whole scene was great

I love Cruel Intentions. It was playing on TV the other night, actually. I haven't seen the second or third, and from what I've heard I probably don't want to. The first was too good to top, I think, so they shouldn't have even bothered. It's weird, but I can't even pick a favourite character. I like them all, and they all just.. work.

cruel intentions is my absolute favorite romantic drama. i fell in love with reese and ryan because of this movie (and i'm not one to follow celebrity couples). you can image how sad i was when they split... but hey, it's all okay. the movie's still fantastic, it can still make me cry whenever i watch it, and they ryan and reese are still hot.

just one thing... let's all just pretend the second and third films never happened.

I didn't even know there was a third one. The second one was awful, but the first one was genius!
