This is for a writing project so any small details you add to your answer (pertaining to the question) would be greatly appreciated.
A character finds a corpse half covered in snow. I don't know a great deal about crows so I was wondering: would they have already found the body after one night? It's early in the morning and the person died the previous night so we're talking a few hours. Would there be a flock (murder) of crows there, or would I be able to get away with two or three? Would they go for the eyes and tongue first? His face is most accessible to them. How would they get the tongue out? Would they just keep pecking and pulling until it rips? This might be gross to some of you, so I appologise for that lovely imagery.
In short: how many crows, how would they go about eating a corpse, what is their behaviour like in the winter?
Thank you so much!
