Cross-Country race preparation?

Our school board holds a cross country race every year, and this year would be my last chance to participate, so I took it.

It's a 2k race (a little over 10 minutes) and we've been training for a month now. We'd run one day, rest the next, run the 3rd day, rest the 4th, etc.

I'm not a really good runner when it comes to speed, but I have built up my endurance during the past month.

Now tomorrow is race day and I'm starting to get scared and nervous. Is there anything I should do tonight or tomorrow morning before the race to help? Should I listen to music or not? Would an energy drink be okay an hour or two beforehand? Any tips?

Anything is appreciated really.
